Vendor
Resources

It takes a village…

When I first started my small business journey, I felt overwhelmed and most definitely lost. I was looking for resources everywhere. I didn’t understand why so many small businesses would keep information to themselves or not encourage other small businesses. Well, once I became a little more established, I understood. This space is not for the faint of heart. People are constantly asking you for free products, trying to go home and “copy” your work, etc etc etc. I’ve heard some craziness from both customers and vendors alike, which definitely turned me off from wanting to share information. However, Christ told us to build each other up. At the end of the day, I hope that my customer base will be blessed by me through every aspect of Aleuma, not just through our clothing. I won’t be giving away all of the tricks up my sleeve, but I do want to share some things with you that took me a lot of time (and money) to learn the hard way. I’m hoping that these resources will not only be blessing to you, but will bless the businesses that I’ve found along the way!

Here’s a quick list of some things I believe are must have’s for anyone running their own small business! If you are planning to be online only, some of these won’t apply, so keep that in mind. â€‹â€‹

As a Christian business owner, I easily get distracted or pulled in so many directions. I‘be found that doing a Bible study in the morning (no set amount of time) really helps me keep my priorities and goals straight and aligned with the Kingdom. I’ve been loving this Bible recently, which is great for note takers like me!

Every market I receive so many compliments on my tent sign. It helps with brand image and customers have come up to me saying that they were looking for the sign to shop my booth! Also, it’s just so cute. It is pretty spendy, so if you don’t have a logo completed, or you have just started, I would hold off on this. Wait until you figure out what emotions you want to convey with your imagery, because this usually does change later on.
